Today, for Volunteers Week, we’re celebrating Arthur, a dedicated volunteer driver with WCS Aged Care for over 10 years.
Arthur gives up his time each week, often several times a week, to make a difference in the lives of older people in our community. Whether it’s a shopping trip, a social outing or just a friendly chat, Arthur’s kindness and humour bring real joy to those he supports.
“I find you get far more out of it than what you put in… seeing that I’ve helped somebody, having a joke, hearing their stories – it’s a bonus for me too,” Says Arthur
He’s met incredible people along the way and brought connection to those who might otherwise feel alone.
