Woden Community Service (WCS) manages Lyons Early Learning Centre and Evatt Preschool Program, providing high-quality education and care for children aged 6 weeks to school age.

Our centres provide safe, secure and stimulating environments where children can learn, grow and thrive. Guided by the Early Years Learning Framework, our qualified educators deliver holistic programs based on the latest research. We work closely with families and schools to ensure smooth transitions into preschool and primary years.

Lyons Early Learning Centre (ELC)

Lyons Early Learning Centre (ELC)

Located within Lyons Early Childhood School, the Lyons Early Learning Centre provides education and care for children from infancy through to Year 2 (up to 8 years of age).

  • Children begin in the infant’s room and continue their learning journey until primary school.
  • WCS partners with the school principal and executive team to create strong connections between the ELC and the school.
  • The preschool program complements the school’s curriculum, ensuring smooth transitions.
  • Our educators work alongside teachers to deliver an outcome-based, positive learning experience.

Evatt Preschool Program

Evatt Preschool Program

The Evatt Preschool Program provides a small-group environment with a high educator-to-child ratio, ensuring that your child receives individualised attention and care.

  • Focus on educational outcomes and school readiness.
  • Safe, secure and stimulating setting with friendly, qualified educators.
  • At times, the preschool program may combine with the senior program (families are notified in advance).

Hours and Services (during school terms only)

  • Preschool: 7am – 6pm, Mon–Wed (not during school holidays)
  • Preschool Before School Care: 7am – 9am, Mon–Wed
