Since October 1969, Woden Community Service has been at the heart of Canberra, offering a place of connection and support. What started as a telephone service to combat loneliness, founded by Maisie Griffiths and a group of compassionate locals, has grown into 55 years of community service across Canberra.
This year’s Mental Health Month theme, ‘Connected Canberra,’ resonates with our purpose of ‘Building Connected Communities.’ We invite you to join us in continuing this legacy at our BBQ event in Edison Park this Wednesday, 30 October, an event made possible thanks to funding provided by the Mental Health Month ACT Reimbursement Grants Program.
