Our WCS volunteers gathered together before the Easter holiday break to socialise and enjoy some hot cross buns and chocolate eggs. The event was an opportunity to acknowledge our wonderful volunteers for supporting WCS programs and events.
Jenny Kitchin, WCS CEO, thanked the volunteers for the work they have done this year across the organisation.
Katie Peek, WCS Community Development and Engagement Manager, provided the group with information about recent developments in the Molonglo Valley.
☕ The volunteers were very interested in learning more about the Heartbeat Cafe , a social enterprise in the new suburb of Whitlam, established in partnership with Suburban Land Agency .
☕ To help support the café, WCS invites all to come and visit the Heartbeat Café at 6 Klaus Moje Street, Whitlam and enjoy the mountain views from the deck whilst having a warm beverage or bite to eat.
