WCS Needs Wheels!
We’re thrilled to be part of the Hands Across Canberra 2025 Canberra Day Appeal, an initiative that encourages local giving. We aim to raise funds for a vehicle to help us expand our community support across Canberra.
Currently, we provide healthy meals to over 10,500 children across Canberra, fuelling growth and learning, and we’ve recently joined the Community Assistance and Temporary Supports Program, delivering meals to those needing short-term help.
A new vehicle would enable us to deliver even more meals and support more people across Canberra.
Through our Social Enterprise Program, we create sustainable employment opportunities for vulnerable individuals who face additional barriers to long-term employment. This program equips participants with essential skills, training, and real-world experience, preparing them for successful careers. Our social enterprise businesses provide practical job placements, mentorship, and wrap-around support, helping participants achieve economic independence and contribute to the community through ongoing employment.
